Recognizing and Fostering
the Contributions Made
by Women in the Life Sciences

The Council of Academic Institutions includes a group of the most elite universities and research institutes represented by the Founding Board of the Rosalind Franklin Society. Institutions participating in the Council have supported the work of the Society to recognize, foster, and advance the important contributions of women in biomedical science and affiliated disciplines. The leadership and commitment of these institutions is crucial to the continued success of the Rosalind Franklin Society. Without doubt there has been progress, but it remains slow. With the support of this Council and their colleagues on the RFS Board, we know change is possible. We sincerely appreciate the leadership and encouragement of each and every institution involved and look forward to growing the Society and its sphere of influence.
